At [Panei Persians and Exotics], we prioritize the long-term health and happiness of our kittens. To ensure they have the best start in their new homes, all kittens are spayed or neutered before they leave our care and into their new homes..

We believe this "early-age" or pediatric altering is a hallmark of responsible breeding. Below is why we include this in our kittens’ transition:

Why We Alter Early:

  • Superior Recovery: Kittens are incredibly resilient. At a younger age, they metabolize anesthesia more efficiently and have more elastic tissue, allowing them to "bounce back" and resume normal play almost immediately—often much faster than cats altered as adults.

  • Behavioral Wellness: By altering kittens before they reach sexual maturity, we prevent the development of hormone-driven "marking" (spraying) and roaming instincts. This ensures your kitten remains a clean, focused, and affectionate companion.

  • Long-Term Health: Early altering significantly reduces the risk of mammary tumors and life-threatening uterine infections (pyometra) in females, and eliminates the risk of testicular cancer in males.

  • Peace of Mind for You: We take care of the surgical costs, the appointment scheduling, and the post-operative monitoring. You will receive your kitten "worry-free," with no future surgeries to schedule—allowing you to focus entirely on bonding with your new family member.

Microchip & Recovery Policy

The safety of our kittens is our highest priority, even after they leave our home. To ensure that your kitten can always find their way back to you, every kitten is microchipped before placement.

Our Partnership with HomeAgain®

We use HomeAgain, a premier national recovery database. A microchip is a permanent form of identification; unlike a collar or tag, it cannot be lost or removed.

Your Responsibility

For the microchip to be effective, it is vital that you:

    • Initial Registration: I will be listed as the initial registered owner to ensure the kitten is protected from day one.

    • Transfer of Ownership: Once you take your kitten home, you should create your own account at www.homeagain.com. You can then request a transfer of the chip to your name.

    • Emergency Contact: I invite you to keep me listed as an alternate emergency contact. If your kitten is ever found and you cannot be reached, the recovery service will contact me to ensure the kitten stays safe until you are located.

      1. Keep Contact Info Current: Always update your phone number and address on the HomeAgain portal if you move or change numbers.

      2. Verify Annually: We recommend asking your vet to "scan" the chip during annual checkups to ensure it is functioning correctly and is still in the proper position.

      3. Stress-Free Temperature Readings: Traditional rectal thermometers can be stressful and uncomfortable for kittens. Our TempCheck™ chips allow your veterinarian to read your cat’s internal body temperature instantly and non-invasively by simply passing a compatible scanner over the shoulders.
